‘And when they were come to the multitude, there came to him a certain man, kneeling down to him, and saying, "Lord, have mercy on my son: for he is lunatick, and sore vexed: for ofttimes he falleth into the fire, and oft into the water. And I brought him to thy disciples, and they COULD NOT CURE him." Then Jesus answered and said, "O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you? How long shall I suffer you? Bring him hither to me." And Jesus rebuked the devil; and he departed out of him: and the child was cured from that very hour. Then came the disciples to Jesus apart, and said, "Why could not we cast him out?" And Jesus said unto them, "Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, 'If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, '''Remove hence to yonder place'''; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you. Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting.” (Matthew 17:14-21 KJV)
Up on 'an high mountain apart' (Matthew 17:1-8), 'a voice out of the cloud' said 'This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; HEAR YE HIM'. The prayer of faith (V.20) in the name of Jesus would deliver them (and us) from the unbelief that caused them to fall short in curing the child. Don't allow the fasting, in bringing yourself to Him, to discourage you from completing these works of faith.Jesus Christ said, "Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it." (Matt. 7:13,14 NKJV). Narrow Gate Ministry serves to assist the christian to completion in Christ Jesus; to walk just as Jesus walked. The christian must understand what Jesus meant by "difficult is the way" to experience His victory in it.

Will You Allow His Grace to be Sufficient?
‘And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure. For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me. And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong.'
(2 Corinthians 12:7-10 KJV)
'For though he was crucified through weakness, yet he liveth by the power of God. For we also are weak in him, but we shall live with him by the power of God toward you. EXAMINE YOURSELVES, whether ye be in the faith; prove your own selves. Know ye not your own selves, how that Jesus Christ is in you, except ye be reprobates? But I trust that ye shall know that we are not reprobates.' (2 Corinthians 13:4-6 KJV)
Will you be crucified through weakness? Paul understood, was willing, in the meekness of Christ. He clearly taught the same to the Corinthians. Jesus Christ, the same yesterday, today, and forever!
