Give Attention To His Words

"My son, give attention to my words; incline your ear to my sayings. Do not let them depart from your eyes; keep them in the midst of your heart; for they are life to those who find them and health to all their flesh." (Proverbs 4:20-22)

"Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path." (Psalm 119:105)

Recently, as a result of a consideration to advance the ministry to which I feel called (you know, to help God in that which He needs
none), I was sitting in front of an establishment, readying myself to enter for hot morning drinks for my wife and myself. I was recognizing that what I thought might have been a good idea was just another confidence in the flesh, a transgression. Sharper than any two-edged sword, the Most High spoke to me by His indwelling Spirit:

My words are a light unto YOUR path;
My words are a lamp unto YOUR feet;
My words are life to YOU as YOU find them;
My words are health to all YOUR flesh.(Especially to that flesh that could launch out to what seems reasonable, instead of letting Him add it to you.)

I sensed the Lord saying that His Body is called to the same path He walked. It is important to be made just like Him. He is the door to the Father and to the sheepfold. Going up some other way makes you a thief and a robber, harming the sheep.

"Therefore humble yourselves under the mighty hand of God, that He may exalt you in due time, casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you. Be sober, be vigilant (self-controlled, watchful) because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world. But may the God of all grace, who called us to his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you. To Him be the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen. By Silvanus, our faithful brother as I consider him, I have written to you briefly, exhorting and testifying that this is the TRUE GRACE of God in which you stand."  (1 Peter 5:6-12)

In the true grace of God is the place to be.
